  1. The Jaquelin Jenkins Gallery

This gallery is home to the works of over 250 artists, both locally and nationally known; visitors can view the countless photographs, paintings, and sculptures displayed throughout their spacious rooms and halls.  In addition to hosting receptions and exhibits, the Jaquelin Jenkins Gallery also presents classes and workshops taught by local craftsmen.  Guests are also encouraged to attend the First Friday Artwalk and Opening Reception every month to welcome new artists and their pieces.  A full list of events held here can be found on their website or through the Daily Advance.

  1. The Maguire Theatre

Some of the best shows you’ll ever see are held right here in the Maguire Theatre!  With over 250 seats and a beautiful stage, this venue has welcomed both local performers and famous acts.  Visitors can attend all kinds of events here, from concerts to plays, created by some of the most talented individuals around.  The Third Thursday Jazz Series are held here once a month, a popular event amongst numerous locals.  The Maguire Theatre is also where the Arts of the Albemarle Center Players meet and practice; this after-school program is designed for aspiring performers, ages 8 to 18, to learn new abilities in the realm of the arts as well as sharpen their existing skills.  This establishment can also be used for private receptions or formal parties if you’re looking to have an Arts of the Albemarle wedding!

  1. The School of the Arts

A center of learning for both children and adults, the School of the Arts teaches everything from crafts to chorus.  Scholarships are available for this program to ensure that everyone has the chance to develop their knowledge and learn new material.  These classes are taught by fantastic instructors will a great amount of experience in these fields.
