The 2016 Wings over Water Festival will take place Tuesday, October 18th through Sunday, October 23rd. The festival will also offer an encore session Friday, December 9th through Sunday, December 11th. The Wings over Water Festival will be held in numerous locations, both indoor and outdoor. You’ll get the opportunity to visit six different counties in the northeastern North Carolina area and observe numerous wildlife reserves and recreation areas. During the Wings over Water Festival, you get the opportunity to go on birding tours, attend scenic painting classes, embark on stand-up paddleboard and kayak adventures, take a beginner DSLR video class, and even go on a Roanoke Island night kayak paddle. This annual event treats its guests to stunning sights of North Carolina’s magnificent scenery and up-close observation of the state’s numerous species of wildlife, including herons, turtles, kingfishers, deer, owls, otters, and numerous backyard birds.
