The Cupola House hosts an evening lecture from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The series explores the history and gardens of one of Edenton’s most recognized colonial homes.
This 5K and kids’ fun run starts across from the Chowan Arts Council on W Water Street, crosses the Hayes Bridge to Hayes Plantation, and loops back. Awards go to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category, and an after party with a BBQ lunch and drink ticket follows at The Herringbone. Proceeds benefit the George & Alex Memorial Foundation, which awards a $20,000 scholarship to a John A. Holmes senior.

The Chowan County Regional Fair returns to the American Legion Fairgrounds on West Queen Street for 5 days of family fun. Enjoy amusement rides, fair food, live music, pig races, and exhibits of local crafts, baked goods, and livestock. A tradition since 1947, it is one of the area’s biggest fall gatherings.
Half a century of the arts in Edenton calls for a celebration. The evening features live music by The Brian Smith Band and brings the community together to honor 50 years of creativity in town.
The Peanut Festival fills downtown Edenton with a full day of festivities celebrating the region’s peanut farming heritage. The day features a parade at 11 AM, live music around town, food and craft vendors, a farmers market, and the Battle of the Bands at John A. Holmes High School. It is one of Edenton’s largest fall events.
The Weejam Band returns to Taylor Theater for a two-part Halloween performance beginning at 8:30 PM. The night opens with a 45-minute set of Halloween songs and classic rock, followed by a full hour tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Tickets are available at the box office or online.
